Fred Walker

Martin Fred Walker, 84, died January 22, 1992 in Salt Lake City. Born October 23, 1907 in Lovell, Wyoming to John William and Betty S. Boyce Walker. Married Thelma Reed in Anaconda, Montana Dec. 17, 1928; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Fred was a High Priest in the LDS Church. He was a good and dependable worker, employed at Ohio Oil, the Anaconda Smelter, James Reed Construction, and Ajax Presses. He was a quiet and good-hearted man who loved children. His nieces and nephews loved to visit Fred and Thelma.

Survived by a sister, Louise Marchant, Lovell, Wyo.; and by nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister.

Funeral services Monday, January 27, 11 a.m., in the Midvale 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 97 West 7500 So. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Sunday 6-8 p.m., and at the ward Monday 9:45-10:45 a.m. Burial, Midvale City Cemetery.
