CURTIS GRANT
Mr. Curtis Grant, 81, of 2147 Carver Road, Martinsville, Va. departed this life on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his home. He was born in Henry County on March 25, 1933, a son, of the late Sam and Susie Griggs Grant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Curtis R. Grant.
He was retired from J & J Southeast after 25 years of service and attended St. Paul High Street Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Alberta Smith Grant, of the home; three daughters, Mary B. Griffin, of Charlotte, N.C.; Cheryl and Deborah Grant, both of Glen Allen, Va.; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul High Street Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church one half hour prior to the funeral and will be at the home at other times.
