Janice Ethelyn McMillan 81, Marion, IN passed away Wednesday July 2, 2014 at 10:02 PM at her residence in Marion IN.
Janice was born on Monday October 3, 1932, in Wells County. She was the daughter of the late Earl Roscoe and Marie Nettie (Welch) Barker.
Janice was a former resident of Jackson Township, Wells County. She was a 1950 graduate of Jackson Center High School in Wells County, IN. Janice was a retiree of the GM’s Body by Fisher (CPC) plant in Marion, IN. She was a member of the Van Buren Eastern Star, the Jackson Twp. Homemakers Club, the UAW Fisher Body Sympathy Club, and a member at Asbury Chapel Church.
Janice was the mother to the 7 “JR McMillan’s” which includes 4 sons. The late James Roscoe (Jim) McMillan of Liberty Center, IN; John Robert (Bob) McMillan of Marion, IN; Joseph Ray ( Joe) McMillan of Upland , IN; Jeremy Ryan McMillan of Brownsburg, IN; and 3 daughters; Jennifer Rose Hirschy of Plymouth, IN; Jane Rene Stout of Bloomington, IN; Julie Ruth Webb of Huntsville, AL.
She is survived by 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and a sister Roseland Cain Hartford City, IN and a brother Frank Barker Monticello, IN and a late sister Eloise Swagger Van Buren, IN, several nieces/nephews and grandnieces/nephews.
Janice loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren/great grandchildren play sports. Janice was a mother/grandmother to all of her children’s/grandchildren’s families and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at the Asbury Chapel, Wells County on Saturday July 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Asbury Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral services.
