Mrs. Opal G. Sheldon, 74, of 4119 Toni Ave. N., died Monday in a local nursing home.
She was born in Pratt County, Kan., and moved to Salem from Nebraska in 1935.
Survivors include daughters Dorothy Stroud, Fuqua Varina, N.C., and Arlene Carlson, Salem; sons James, Longview, Wash., Lloyd, Sweet Home, and Robert, St. Helens; brother Thomas C. Wilson, Burbank, Calif.; 17 grandchildren.
Services will be 7p.m. Wednesday at Barrick mortuary, private internment at Belcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Donald Durand officiating.
