Unless there was a second George Taylor who married a Jerusha Buchanan in the same time frame then there is something wrong with this profile. I suggest your man is more likely born in Granville County in 1803
Steven Denney George Washington Taylor (1803-1864) was likely born in Granville County, North Carolina. He married Kiziah See daughter of Michael See (or Seay). They eventually resided in Carroll County, Arkansas. He was killed during the Civil War but allegedly by Bushwhackers. From my family bibles and other documents his name was George Washington Taylor. Any posted information has identifying him as George Hiram is incorrect and should be corrected.

George Taylor married Jerusha Buchanan in Granville County, North Carolina on December 16, 1793. She was the daughter of their neighbor William Buchanan who lived in Granville County early enough that it was unlikely she could have been born in Delaware. I don't know where the Buchanan's came from, but this George Taylor and Jerusha Buchanan lived in Granville County North Carolina from the time they married until 1806, when they moved to Smith County, Tennessee. In a few years they moved on to Rutherford County, Tennessee in the 1810's where they died. There were Seay's in both Smith County and Rutherford County.
