Mary E. Bottiglier, 88, of Frey Village, Middletown, died there Sunday (May 21, 2000).
She and her late husband operated Bottiglier grocery stores in New Cumberland and Lawnton, and she retired as a learning disability specialist from Central Dauphin High School. She had also taught in Bemsalem, Oley and Swatara high schools.
She was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Hobbie; a former member of Salem United Church of Christ, Harrisburg; a founding member of Cumberland County Association for Retarded Citizens; and a member of Dial-Rock Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and the Pennsylvania Retired Teachers Association. She was a graduate of Oley High School and Ursinus College.
She was the widow of Elmer J. Bottiglier. Surviving are three daughters, Elmeretta B. Lecrone of Wapwallopen and Anna McDonald and Mary Ann Bottiglier, both of Harrisburg; and three grandchildren.
