Catherine Chambers, 54, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, July 2, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, of natural causes.
She was born March 30, 1960, in Waterloo, daughter of Charles Floyd and Samella Sanders Chambers.
She graduated from Malcolm Price Laboratory High School, Cedar Falls, and received an associate's degree from Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids. Catherine was a respiratory therapist at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, for many years and a member of Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survived by her father of Waterloo; and two brothers, C. Elston (Elice) Chambers of Golden Valley, Minn., and Donavon Sanders of Minneapolis.
Preceded in death by her mother.
There will be no formal funeral service, per her request. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Greer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
