Mildred Josephine Mischo Ehnert (94) passed away peacefully on Friday evening, June 27, 2014, at Field of Dreams Assisted Living in Kiel, WI. She's on her journey to dance once again with her previously departed husband, Alfred. She was born August 3, 1919 in Fond du Lac, WI to Carl Mischo and Katherine Bertha Diedrich Mischo, was raised in Stockbridge, WI, and moved to Kiel, WI with her family during high school, graduating from Kiel H.S. Married to Alfred William Ehnert on January 9, 1940 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel, WI, she is survived by her three children: Gary & Cynthia Ehnert (Florida), Kay & David Rolston (Milwaukee), and James C. & Roberta Ehnert (Kiel), four grandchildren: James A. & Nancy Ehnert (Sheboygan), Nicole & Jason Stokes (Florida), Alex Rolston (Milwaukee), Kyler Rolston (Milwaukee), three great grandchildren: Jarrod Ehnert, James Ryan Stokes, and Katherine Ann Stokes, brother Donald & Betty Mischo (Arkansas), and very close friend John Colson (Kentucky). Mildred was preceded in death by husband Alfred Ehnert, daughter Lynn Ann, brother Charles, and sister Marian Nickel. Mildred (Milly "with a Y"), now "just resting her eyes", along with husband Al, owned and operated the August Ehnert and Sons Inc. gravel business until retirement in 1980. They were also members of Elks Lodge 299 of Sheboygan, Kiel VFW, and SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. Milly was an avid bowler and golfer, doing the latter until she was 91. For the final 25 years of her life, Milly wintered in Davenport Florida, living on the 3rd tee of the Deer Creek Golf Resort. She spent summers in Wisconsin, much of the time spent on Pigeon Lake in Manitowoc Co. Milly enjoyed every minute of life. Very active in Girl Scouts, she took many trips chaperoning the girls. Involved with the Kiel VFW ladies auxiliary, she loved working the food stand at Road America, fund raising for the VFW. Being a life-long Packer Fan, she was thrilled to have personally met Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, and Donald Driver. Funeral services for Milly will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 2 at Meiselwitz Vollstedt Funeral Home, 815 6th St, Kiel, WI 53042. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Kiel VFW, 715 10th St, Kiel, WI. 920-894-2868
