Randy, 53, died at his home.
He was born in Carteret County and was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. Randy was a 1975 graduate of the School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and was a member of Pi Kappa Phi fraternity and of the UNC Rams Club.He was a member of the Franklinton City and Franklin County School Boards for 18 years and was dedicated to caring for the people of Henderson for 28 years through his work as a pharmacist at Henderson Drug #2 and Medical Arts Pharmacy. Randy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, in-law, and friend. His love for his family, friends, and University will be remembered forever.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Colbert Wright; daughter, Caroline Wright of Raleigh and her fiance, Kevin Carroll of Atlanta; son, Aaron Wright and wife, Lisa of Raleigh; grandchildren, Peyton Blake Wright, William Colbert Wright and Lyndon Paige Wright; parents, Doris and Kenneth Wright of Beaufort, NC; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lucy and Pete Colbert of Franklinton; sister, Betsey Penney and husband, Michael of Raleigh; brother, David Wright of Beaufort, NC; brother-in-law, Kenny Colbert and wife, Sue of Huntersville, NC; nieces and nephews, Stephen and Haley Penney of Raleigh and Kenan and Pete Colbert of Huntersville, NC.
