Mrs. Louis Nelson Rites Are Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Nelson, 75, rural Jackson, were held Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Jackson. The Rev. John Koros officiated. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in Jackson.
Mrs. Nelson died Friday at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Nelson, the former Sophia Deloughery, was born 10 April 1892, at Jackson. She was married 6 Aug 1915 at Jackson. Mr. Nelson died 6 May 1941. She lived on a farm near Jackson all her life.
Mrs. Nelson was a member of St. Patrick's Church at Jackson and the church Altar Society. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Charles Watkins of Dallas, Mrs. Michael Voss of Kansas City, MO and Mrs Clifford Sullivan of Jackson; four sons, Anthony of Simi, CA, Louis of Cudahy, CA, Loyala of Norwalk, CA and James of Jackson; a sister, Mrs Helen Persinger of Santa Ana, CA; 37 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
