1948-2008

Edward H. "Butch" Archer, age 60 of West Baden Springs, Indiana, passed away at 2:30 AM on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at his residence. Butch was born on February 24th, 1948 to William and Dana (Wortinger) Archer. Butch had worked proudly at the Ben and Jan Lindsey Farm for more than 20 years where he always waved at everyone that drove by while he was working. He had also previously worked for Warren "Burr" Hendrix, Lindsey Tractor Sales, and Hardin Sawmill in West Baden Springs. He was a 1966 graduate of Springs Valley High School and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Republican Party.
He is survived by his two sons, Jason Archer and Bradley "Skeeter" Archer both of West Baden Springs, one sister Susan Toothman of West Baden Springs, an aunt, Esther Land of Indianapolis, his very best friends Ben and Jan Lindsey of French Lick and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William Dwight Archer and Billy Joe Archer, and one sister Carolyn Archer.
Arrangements were handled by the T.L. Pinnick Mortuary where the family received friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, September 13th 2008 and from 8:00 AM until service time at 1:30 PM, Sunday September 14th, 2008. Rev. Terry L. Pinnick officiated the service and interment followed at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, French Lick, Indiana.
The Family requested memorial contributions be made to the Springs Valley Ministerial Association Food Pantry, c/o T.L. Pinnick Mortuary or charity of choice.
