Leonard Hudson
On Wednesday night, June 25, 2014, Mr. Leonard Hudson peacefully passed. God summoned the Death Angel to bring him to live with Him.
Leonard was born on November 27 1933, in his native home of Cedartown, Florida. Leonard attended the public schools of Escambia County, graduating from George Washington Carver High School. After graduation he worked for Monsanto. He later did a two year tour in the U.S. Navy and then returned to his home town back to Monsanto where he retired after 30 years of service.
He confessed Christ and united with Talbot Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. His Christian involvement included Pastors Steward for Rev. Lester Jacobs, member of the male chorus, honorary member of the Stewards Board, Sunday school teacher and he led prayer meeting for years. Mr. Leonard was very dedicated and he took his Christian walk very serious.
Leonard was a faithful and dedicated member and severed as Worthy Patron of Jerusalem Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Star and served as Past Master of Eureka Lodge #6 (now combined with Excelsior Lodge 43).
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving children Debra (William) Gully , Sandra (Andre) Shoemo of Pensacola Florida, Tony Nolen of Detroit Mich., Jesse (Monique) Turner, sister Cillar Ross of Chicago Ill., son in law Raymond (Ricco) James of Tallahassee Florida, his brother in law Wesley (Cherry) Knight, his grandchildren Taurus Parker and Kenya Parker, Antoinette Johnson of Detroit Mich., Jesse Turner II of Houston Texas, Aaron Turner of San Diego California, Alexys James and Raymond James of Tallahassee Florida, Shameka Abney and Lakesha Williams of Pensacola Florida, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives, and devoted friends.
Wake Thursday 6:00 -7:00pm, at Joe Morris Funeral Home; Funeral will be Saturday 11:00 a.m. at Talbot Chapel A.M.E. Zion church.
