Jeffrey was born May 19, 1965 in Fairmont, WV, a son of Shelvy (Maze) Cunningham and the late Richard Cunningham Sr.
Jeff was formerly employed in Fairmont in the maintenance department of a hotel chain. He enjoyed rebuilding Toyota pick-up trucks and riding ATVs.
Jeffrey S. Cunningham, 49, of Worthington, passed away on Saturday June 7, 2014 at his residence following an extended illness.
Jeff is survived by his mother; his daughter, Ashley Barbee and husband Michael; his grandchildren, Cailey and Aaron Barbee, all of Moulton, AL; nieces and nephews, Richard Cunningham III of Mentor Lake, OH; Tina Diehl and husband Dean of Mentor Lake, OH; Steve Merill and wife Chris; great-niece, McKenzie Merill, all of East Lake, OH; also surviving are several aunts, uncles, and cousins as well as many good friends.
In addition to his father, Jeff was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Cunningham Jr.; sister-in-law, Sandra Cunningham; his maternal grandparents, Sant and Gladys Maze and paternal grandparents, Frank and Grace Cunningham.
Friends will be received at the Harmer Funeral Home, 300 Pike St. Shinnston, WV, on Tuesday from 2-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 11th at 11 am with Rev. Robert Wilson and Pastor George Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at the Enterprise I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Serving as Pall Bearers will be Nathan Freeman, Sam Freeman, Brian Maze, Carl Ludwig, Shane Lucas, Eric Martin, Pete Zalenski, Frank Trenton, and Honorary Pall Bearer, Josh Freeman.
Harmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
