Mr. Day was born on December 13, 1937, to the late Gladys T. and Robert V. Day . He was the youngest and last surviving member of his immediate family. He founded Cayce Exterminating with his wife in 1963. He was a great businessman who was known for his attention to quality and service.

Additionally, he was an avid fisherman who loved to fish at Santee and Pawley's Island. Mr. Day 's family and many friends will miss his sense of humor and great stories. Mr. Day was most proud of his five grandchildren who gave him so much joy.

He was predeceased by his wife; two brothers, Pope and Charles; and three sisters, Johnee, Vernell, and Eloise.
