Woody graduated from Havensville High School in 1958. He was a farmer and stockman. He had also worked for Jeffrey Energy Center as a welder and was an auto-mechanic. Woody was a band member, bass guitar player and singer for 49 years, including the band The Mavericks.
He is survived by 4 sons, Kevin Robbins of Holton, Tracy Robbins (Terri) of Circleville, Todd Robbins of Holton and Terry Robbins (Carolyn) of Oskaloosa and 8 grandchildren, Cody and Kasie Robbins, Jordan, Sarah and Brittany Robbins, Alex and Garrett Robbins and Gabriel Robbins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Robbins.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Diabetes Assoc. c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
