VICTIM OF HUNTING ACCIDENT DIES-

"Arthur Mitchell, who was accidentally shot while hunting near his home west of Mound City died on February 11, due to infection in the wound. No operation was attempted after the boy was taken to St. Joseph.

Again, within the period of a very short time, our community was saddened by the death of one of our school children.

Arthur, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Mitchell, was born near Mound City, Mo., February 14th, 1914, and died at the Missouri Methodist Hospital, February 11, 1928, aged 14 years and seven days.

On Tuesday evening, Feb. 7, after his accident, he was taken to a hospital in St. Joseph where everything that medical skill and loving hands could do for him was done but the Heavenly Father willed otherwise and at 9:45 o'clock on Saturday morning his spirit took its flight to the land from which no traveler returns.

He leaves to mourn his untimely death his heart-broken parents, five sisters, Mrs. Ellsworth Noland, Mrs. Harry Gilliland, Louise, Wilma, and May Mitchell; two brothers, Paul and Elmer Jr., two grandmothers, one grandfather, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large circle of school mates and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Albert Martin of Forest City at the Christian Church in Mound City, Feb. 13, 1928."
