She was born in Atlanta and lived most of her life in Powder Springs, Georgia and was a member of East Cobb United Methodist Church in Marietta, Georgia. Mrs. Nix was a 1933 graduate of McEachern High School and retired from ARA as a supervisor in food service in 1981. She was active in Cobb Senior Citizens Program as will as her church.Survivors include two sons, Fred Nix & wife Carol both from Marietta; Dr. Edward Nix of Atlanta; five grandchildren, Angela Lacey, Robert Lee Nix, Dr. Tamara Nix, Allison Freedman and Dr. Kimberly Bernes; eight great grandchildren; nieces and nephews
