Edward Leslie Floyd, 76, of California City, CA passed away Friday, June 20, 2014.

Edward was born in Lindsay, CA on November 20, 1937. He grew up in Lindsey and joined the Army in 1956. While stationed in Fort Gordon, GA he married Barbara Morris, from Lindsey, CA on March 3, 1957. Edward served in the Army until 1960.

They moved to California City, CA in 1963 where they still reside. Upon moving to California City, CA he worked for the development company for 2 years. Then he became a surveyor with Operating Engineers Local 12.

Edward was a lifetime member of the NRA. He enjoyed golfing, riding motorcycles, camping, and family get together's. He loved to talk to anyone who would listen, he never met a stranger. He loved spending time with family the most.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Charlsie Floyd and a brother, Thomas Lee Floyd. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Floyd; daughter Teresa Baber and her husband, Elvin Baber, of Oxnard, CA and her step-children, Mathew Baber, Bhryan Baber, and Kristen Baber. Brother Bill Floyd of Terra Bella, CA and his daughter Quacker Lynn Floyd, of Visalia, CA and her children Tawny, Diedra, Jeffery, and their families. Sister-in-law Betty Schultheiss, of Kingman, AZ and her children Joe, Sharon, Russ, Tina, and their families. Brother-in-law Gary Morris of Grayson, GA and daughters Christine, Stephanie, and their families. Sister-in-law Doris Morris and her family. Sister-in-law Betty Sue Robinson and her family. He had numerous other family members that loved him very much. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on June 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at Stickel Mortuary in Mojave, CA. Viewing will be at 10:30 am with internment following at California City Memorial Park. Any donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
