Gaffney, S.C. - Vincent Simms Moore, Jr., 37, of 110 Valarie Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2014.
Born in Spartanburg, he was the husband of Amy Maloney Moore and son of Vincent Simms Moore, Sr. and Jonelle Humphries Moore of Gaffney.
Mr. Moore was a graduate of Gaffney High School, was the owner/operator of Moore's Cabinets, and worked for the family business, Pine Valley Construction. He was a Mason and a reserve officer for the Gaffney Police Department. He served his community for 10 years in law enforcement. He loved his family, and was a member of Park Hills Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents is a son, Vincent Simms Moore, III of the home; two brothers, Steven Moore and wife, Lindi, of Gaffney and Eric Moore and wife, Beth, of Hickory Grove; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Shirley Maloney of Gaffney; seven nephews, Tony Moore, Alex Moore, Andy Moore, Sam Moore, Jonathan Moore, Riley Hill and Jonas Mabe; three nieces, Kynli Jordan, Lilly Moore and Reece Hill.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Blakely Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014 in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Marshburn and Mr. Brent Ashe officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
