Matthew David Fisher, affectionately known to his many friends as "Matty" and "Fish," was born to Wade and Julie (Keene) Fisher in Lakenheath, England on Sept. 28, 1983. He passed to eternal peace on Dec. 18, 2011.

Matt was passionate about everything in life. He loved his family, sports, the outdoors, hunting, fishing and going to the cabin. His most treasured memories as a young child were riding motorcycles with his dad, Jim, and his brother Mike. Through the years, he cherished the numerous hunting, fishing and camping trips with his family. His greatest joy in life was being a wonderful father to his two precious children. He always wanted to be as great a father to his children as his dad, Jim, was to him. Matt was greatly influenced by the love, guidance and examples from his Grandpa Bill and Uncle Doug. He was also proud of his father, Wade, being a Montana Highway Patrol Trooper and in his younger life, had dreams of following in his footsteps.

He loved the Green Bay Packers, L.A. Dodgers and the MSU Bobcats. He loved to play softball in the summer and football in the fall. He also loved to cook, especially making breakfast for his "Lil Red" and "Lil Man."

Matt attended Billings schools and graduated from Billings Senior High in 2002. He worked numerous construction jobs around Billings. Most recently he was employed with WeldTech Services Inc. and was extremely proud to be working at the same facility as his father, uncle and brother. He also enjoyed working several years as a bouncer at Bucks Bar and deeply cared for his Bucks Bar family.

Matt is survived by the lights of life, his children, Madysen Rose and David James; his parents, Julie and Jim Ussin and Wade and Leslie Fisher; brother Mike (Erica) Fisher and sister Christine Fisher; grandparents Bill and Darlene (Grandpa and Nana) Keene, Bill and Loretta Fisher, James A. Ussin, and Paulette Longmire (Chuck Sprague); his special Uncle Doug and Aunt Dory Keene and cousins Kiley and Ross Keene; as well as numerous other uncles, aunts and cousins.

Matt is preceded in death by his uncle David Keene; great-grandparents Roscoe and Mariane Keene, Francis and Mary Smith, Clara Fisher and Beatrice Whelchel; grandmother Mary "Connie" Ussin; aunts Vickie Engen and Chris Neidhardt.

Matt truly loved and admired his family with his whole heart and soul and was fortunate to be blessed with an extended family and friends who cared so much for him. He will be forever loved and his bright smile will live on in our hearts.

An account has been established for his children under "Matthew Fisher Support Fund" at Montana Health Federal Credit Union, PO Box 2376, Billings, MT 59103.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m., at Smith Funeral Chapel, downtown Billings. Please come as you are as we celebrate Matt's life.
