Mr. Simeon Creel, a native of Adair county, Ky., died at his late home in Carrollton, Mo., April 7, 1903. He was 85 years and six days old. His parents died when he was twelve years of age, and he was reared by his brother-in-law, Judge Lesle, of Green county. Mr. Creel was twice married, his first wife being Miss Margaret Elliott. In his youth he made a profession of his faith in Christ and united with the Baptist church at Columbia under the preaching of Rev. Thomas Fisher. His walk was close with God for sixty years, dying an honored citizen and at peace with all mankind. the deceased leaves a number of relatives in Adair county.
