Margaret was the daughter of Kinchen and Anna W. WALKER PILANT. She married John Henry ROBINSON in about 1864 in Alabama. Margaret and John Henry had at least five children: William Luther, John Thomas, Martha Ann, Robert L., and Inez Ella Robinson. John had previously had a son by another marriage, George Henry Robinson. All of their children were born in Alabama. They moved to Texas in 1884 by Conestoga wagon. The wagon had a cookstove inside, and a folding table attached to the side of the wagon. There was a metal box on the outsisde of the wagon that held supplies. The wagon had big hoops covered with canvas, and when the weather was bad they could sleep inside on a bed; otherwise, they slept outside on the ground.
