Louisa was a Wyandotte Indian born in Quindaro, Kansas on tribal land. She came with her children to Indian Territory (Oklahoma) in 1871 or 1872. The Elliott family cemetery is now abandoned on private property. Originally it was Louisa's Indian allotment. Her first husband was Benjamin Franklin Jefferson Bennett with which she had two children. Susan Jane and Jefferson. At some point she was married to a Thornhill, Edward Atkins, and John Windle. No children from those marriages. She married Francis Elliott aka Charles Horace Buck, and had one child, Isaac Elliott. This was prior to her marriage to Atkins, but when they divorced, she apparently re-took the name Elliott.
