Buck was proud to be a Marine and a Vietnam Veteran where he served from 1968 to 1974 as an E-5 Sargeant. He was a long time, valued employee of Taylor and Sons Oil in Dover Plains.
He is survived by his wife Anna Evans, a daughter Morgan Evans, his mother-in-law Helen Campbell and brothers David Evans, Leonard Phillips and his wife Karen and a sister Dawn Merryman. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, his brothers-in-law and a multitude of friends.
Mr. Evans was predeceased by his mother Lorena Phillips, his step-father Leonard Phillips, and brother-in-law Robert Merryman.
Buck was first of all a loving father, the best husband and a generous and considerate man. He worked hard, played hard and loved harder. To know Buck was to be a fan of his. He was a Warrior but he lost his battle against cancer on June
15, 2014. Buck loved his family and friends, his beloved Marine Corps, his motorcycle, his tattoos and Bud Light.
