Deaths And Funerals - Ward M. Lanning
Ward M. Lanning, 66, of Cambridge Route 3, an employe of the state Highway Department, died at 12:05 p.m. Friday in Bethesda Hospital where he had been a patient one day.
Born March 27, 1906, in Jefferson Township, Guernsey County he was the son of George M. and Dora Wilson Lanning.
Mr. Lanning was a member of Clearfork Baptist Church, Salt Fork Coon Hunters Club and Cambridge Sea Bee Radio Club.
Surviving are his widow, Margaret Larrick Lanning whom he married Dec. 23, 1942; a son, John R. Lanning of Cambridge, and two grandsons, Greg and Tommy, both of Cambridge. A brother and two sisters are deceased.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Thorn Funeral Home in Cambridge where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday with Rev. Charles Sellers officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
