Clifford Kenneth Brazzell, 75, of Niota, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at his residence. He was a son of the late Joseph Olic and Pearlie Lucinda Freeman Brazzell and was the pastor of House of Worship in Niota. He retired from Athens Furniture Company and was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Dewayne Brazzell; one sister, Vassie Ray Jirles; and four brothers, Lemuel “E.L.” Brazzell, Elbert Brazzell, Reed Bowers and Raymond Brazzell.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Velma Worthy Brazzell of Niota; one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Edward “Chipper” Saffles of Niota; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Janice Brazzell of Athens; six grandchildren, Jeremie Brazzell and wife, Sandra, Joey Brazzell and wife, Shawna, Heather Nunley and husband, Adam, Chase Goodman and fiancŽ, Amanda Pickelsimer, and Brooklyn and Zachary Goodman; four great-grandchildren, Kalyn Nunley and Allison, Autumn and Sadie Brazzell; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Marvin Worthy of Athens; one brother and sister-in-law, Landon and Roxy Brazzell of Riceville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
