Cynthia Lee (Henson) Call Ellis, 60, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho, with her loving husband and family surrounding her. Cindy was born on September 1, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho to Velma Elaine Call. Cindy was raised by her mother in both Pocatello and Idaho Falls. Cindy was a hard worker and started working, at a young age, for her grandparents in their restaurant, where she developed her very strong work ethic. While living in Idaho Falls, she met her future husband, Gregory Victor Ellis, on a blind date. They were married on August 15, 1970 in Idaho Falls.

Cindy and Vic (Greg) moved to Pocatello where they welcomed their first son, Nathan Gregory. They then moved to Blackfoot where they welcomed their second child, Shellie Crystal. Work then took them to Idaho Falls where they welcomed their third child, Melanie Lynn. A transfer for a job then moved them back to Pocatello where they welcomed their fourth child, Ashlin Lee, and later, Christopher R. Ellis. This completed their family.

Cindy considered her children her greatest accomplishment and joy. Mom was caring, loving, and the center of our family. She was a stay at home mom for several years. She then went to work at Bannock Nursing Home and then Bannock Memorial Hospital where she later became the environmental services manager for Bannock Regional and Geriatric Center until she retired in 1998, due to health issues. Cindy then became a fulltime grandma, which seemed to be her favorite job.

Always at Cindy's side, was her loving husband who affectionately called her, "my bride". She loved hearing him call her that for the 44 years they were married. Cindy's favorite activity was to be with her family. She loved all of the extended family New Year's Eve parties, the annual Lasagna Christmas Eve dinner for her kids at her home, all of the family birthday and card parties, and especially all of the fun vacations. Cindy was an excellent cook, wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend to all who knew her.

Cindy had a big heart and was always there for anyone who ever needed her, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. Cindy endured medical problems for the last 15 years but always faced them with grace and dignity.

Cindy was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, who expressed her love for her Savior many times and in many ways.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Gregory V. Ellis, of Pocatello; her Son, Nathan (Wendy) Ellis and children, Jade, Molli, and Jordan, of Palmer, Alaska; daughter, Shellie (Todd) Davis and children, Brenna and Ashlie, of Pocatello; daughter, Melanie Ellis, of Pocatello, daughter, Ashlin Ellis and son, Payton Fuller, of Pocatello, Son; Christopher (Amanda) Ellis and children, G.K. and Addy, of Chicago, Ill; brother, Michael Call, of Chubbuck; sister's-in-law, Diane Ellis, Judy and Robert Amy, Linda and Jack Holt; aunt and uncle, Norma and Lee Bettis; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Velma E. Call; grandparents, Roscoe and Hazel Call; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Etta Ellis, and sister-in-law, Peggy Call.

The family would like to thank doctors, Naeem Rahim and Fahim Rahim, and Dr. Michael Haderlie, for their spectacular care and for always being so kind and so caring to our mom. We would also like to thank the nurses and staff at The Idaho Kidney Institute.

Services will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 12 Noon at the LDS Pocatello West Stake 9th Ward Building, 4010 Hawthorne Rd. (Corner of Hawthorne and Quinn Rd.), Pocatello, ID. Family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:30 am prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
