Born in Pasadena, CA, on October 4, 1938, passed away on June 25, 2014, at his residence of 31 years in Upland, CA. He attended Eliot Junior High, graduated from John Muir High School in Pasadena, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked briefly at AeroJet General Corporation until moving on to the Covina Police Department where he rose through the ranks during his 31 year career achieving the rank of Police Captain. He was an avid woodworker and was a member of the Upland Hills Men's Golf Club and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Orval B. Olive and Suzie Owens Petrons; sister, Patricia E. Young and is survived by his wife of 45 years, Clarice; his son Daniel; step-mother, Edna Olive; grandson Robert A Patton; nephews and nieces. A private service will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Padua Village (a Residential Program at Casa Colina), in memory of Bob Olive, 255 E Boinita Ave, Pomona, CA 91768.
