Internment was in the Aurora Reformed Church Cemetery near Stickney with the Lien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Tolsma was born July 30, 1883 at Lee Warden, The Netherlands. On May 5, 1906, he married Sipkia DeBoer at The Netherlands and they came to the United States in 1910 and lived in the Stickney area. Mr. Tolsma was a farmer and at one time operated the meat market in Stickney.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. A.C. (Emma) VandenHoek, Corsica; Mrs. Harry (Jennie) Van Genderen, Stickney; Mrs. Louis (Minnie) Jansen, and Mrs. Alvin (Jessie) Refnes, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. J.J. (Tena) Bandsma, Denver.
Also three sons, Raymond, Homedale, Idaho; Gerben, Sacramento, and Lawrence, Stickney; one foster child, Mrs. Gilbert (Rickie) Needham, Mishawaka, Ind., 33 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers, three sisters, and three grandsons.
