Formerly of Augusta, GA, he had been an area resident since 1962, and was an active member of Northside Baptist Church. He retired from Automotive Electric Associates after 25 years as a Sales Representative.
He was a member of the Million Dollar Sales Club, multiple times. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in WW II with the 3279th Ordinance Base Depot in the European Theater. Mr. Griffith was honorably discharged as a Staff Sgt. January 9, 1946. He enjoyed golf, fishing, spending time with his family and was an avid flower gardener.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 62 years, Wylene Griffith of West Columbia; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Larry Johnson of Cayce, Patricia and Timothy Baker of Irmo; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
