Lisa Kay Adams, 46, of Lucasville, died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. She was born October 30, 1967 in Portsmouth, to June LaMonda Shinkle Hiles and the late James Willard Shinkle. She was a 1986 graduate of Northwest High and a graduate of Shawnee State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was a former service claims specialist with BWC and attended Temple Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rick Shinkle.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Stephen Michael Adams; a daughter, Alisha Nicole Adams; her mother, June LaMonda Shinkle Hiles; her step-father, Jim Hiles; four brothers, Bob (Jackie) Shinkle of McDermott, Charley Shinkle of McDermott, Dave (Penny) Shinkle of Urbana and Bill (Kathy) Shinkle of McDermott; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also survived by three step-sisters plus two step-brothers.
Funeral services will be held 12 noon, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at McDermott United Methodist Church with Pastors John Gowdy and Frances Newman officiating. Burial will be in Rushtown cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Thursday at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville and 11 a.m. -noon Thursday at the church.
