Born on February 28, 1922, in Quicksand, KY, he was the son of the late Frank and Sussie Baker.
He was a member of the Clarksburg Church of God and was a US Army veteran of WW II.
He is survived by two sons, Glen Baker, Jr. of Walkersville, MD, and Frank Baker and wife, Shirley of Goodyear, AZ; two daughters, Mary Mitchem of Inwood, WV, and Sue Duvall and husband, Bernard of Frederick, MD; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family at the Shenandoah Center.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Lou Schroder of Dayton, OH.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Manor Cemetery, off Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD, with Pastor Mark Compton officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Center, 50 Mulberry Street, Charles Town, WV 25414.
