Michael Lee Recktenwald, 63 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday at Baptist Hospital East.
He was a retired employs of Lucent Technologies, a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church and an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric Thomas Recktenwald; his father, Edmund J. Recktenwald Sr.; and his brother, E.J. Recktenwald, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, June Borntraeger-Recktenwald; daughters, Kathleen M. Recktenwald and Theresa M. McBay; sons, Kenneth M., Stephen J., Gregory L. and Donald L. Recktenwald; his mother Helen F. Recktenwald; brothers, Roger and James Recktenwald; sisters, Sr. Audrey Recktenwald, Karen Marie and Joyce Kelty; four grandchildren, Stephen and Matthew Recktenwald and Brianna and Brittany Recktenwald.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop. Burial: Calvary Cemetery. Visitation: Saturday 4-8 p.m. and 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Arch L. Heady-Okolona. 8519 Preston Hwy.
