Nelda Smart
Mrs. Nelda June Smart, nee Huffman, 60, R.R. 1, Okawville, died Thursday at the Washington County Hospital, Nashville.
Surviving are her husband, Victor Smart; a son, Rolin D. Killion, Okawville; two daughters, Mrs. Louis (June) Hays and Mrs. Jo Elaine Lemmons, both of Centralia; three step children, Mrs. Beverly Wilshire, Mt. Vernon; Stuart Lee and Victor Smart Jr., both of Evansville, Ind.; two brothers and three sisters, George Huffman and Mrs. Hazel Jacobsen, both of Cedar Lake, Ind.; Roy Huffman and Mrs. Geraldine Crow, both of Evansville, Ind.; and Mrs. Julia Smith, Nashville, Ill.; and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Smart was an Army veteran of World War II; a member of the American Legion Post of Centralia, the D.A.R. of East St. Louis; and the Genealogical Society of Decatur.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Saturday at the Moll Funeral Home, Okawville. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
