Pvt. Allen Oskar Abrahams, 158th Aero Squadron, survived the torpedoing & sinking of the troopship "Tuscania" on 5 February 1918 in the North Channel between Scotland & Ireland by German submarine UB-77.
He returned from World War I aboard the "Mauretania" - with his surname spelled "Abraham" - in December 1918 as a private 1st class in the 226th Aero Squadron.
On both voyages, he listed his wife, Mrs. Julia Abrahams, of Maybrook, New York, as his next-of-kin.
