Joann W. Hamilton, daughter of the late Cleo Wilson and Alice (Boyd) Wilson, was born February 17, 1933, in Fordsville, Kentucky, and departed this life on June 30, 2014 at the age of 81 years.
Joann married Lewis W. Hamilton on November 5, 1949. Lewis preceded her in death on December 4, 2007
Survivors include two sons, Chuck Hamilton and Boyd Hamilton; one daughter, Sherry Sellers; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; six sisters, Nancy Hamilton, Helen Newton, Bonnie Faulkner, Brenda Felton, Sandy Fuqua and Jimmie Lynn McGrew; other relatives and many friends.
Joann was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Hamilton and one brother, Tom Wilson.
Joann and her late husband Lewis were the proprietors of Smith’s Store in Kennett for 30 years.
Funeral Services were held at Ely Baptist Church Kennett, Missouri. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, MO. were in charge of the arrangements.
