Robert William Adams, 77, of Ridge Avenue, Canonsburg, died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, October 1, 1989, in Canonsburg General Hospital, where he had been a patient for six weeks.
He was born March 1, 1912, in Canonsburg, a son of Russell and Pearl Shaner Adams.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canonsburg.
He was formerly employed by Fort Pitt Bridge Works of Canonsburg.
He was a member of the Houston American Legion Post, Canonsburg Labor Temple, the Russian Club of Canonsburg and the Eagles Lodge of Canonsburg.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army 25th Infantry Division in the Pacific Theater.
He was married to Christine Ann Rosmon, who died August 1982.
Surviving are two sons, Linn Robert Adams of Washington and Lyle Wiliam Adams of Canonsburg; a sister, Gladys Ipergne of Florida; and six grandchildren, Mathew W. Adams, Kevin L. Adams, Rebecca S. Adams, Jeremy Null, Gregory Null and Timothy Adams.
Deceased are two brothers, Dale and Russell Adams; and a sister, Mildred Adams.
