Raymond Ernest "Junior" Neal, 81, of Dayton, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at his residence following a long illness. Raymond was born March 25, 1933 in Denton Valley, and has resided in the Dayton area since 1967. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He and his wife have owned Neal Construction Company for thirty six years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and loved and respected by his family. He was involved in the community and always willing to lend a hand. He was considered by all to be "A Man's Friend". He enjoyed fishing, dancing, gardening and hunting.

Mr. Neal was preceded in death by his mother: Ruby E. Sneed Beck, brother: Clarence Edward Sneed, and grandmother: Sarah Sabrina Bennett Sneed. He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Gaye McAllister Neal of Dayton, daughters: Alicia M. Brooks of Dayton and Pam Hillier and husband Franklin of Dayton, sons: Boyd Neal of Dayton, Brad Alan Neal and wife Stacey of Dayton, and Christian Brendan Neal of Kingwood, sister: Sally Evelyn Hooper of Abilene, grandchildren: Brad Alan Neal, Jr., Kassie Neal, Brie Brooks Short, Landon Neal, Brendon Neal, Blake Neal, and Boyd Alan Neal, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church of Dayton with burial following at Linney Cemetery.
