BRIGGS, GEORGE W. - Age 59. Survived by his wife Hattie, 1 sister, Mrs. Agnes Ball of Spokane; 2 brothers, Fred and Charles B. (s/b R.) Briggs of Iowa. Funeral Services will be held Friday March 10th at 2:30 p.m. from Hazen and Jaegers Chapel, Rev. J.F. Fryer and Imperial lodge no. 134, I.O.O.F. will have charge of the services. Cremation will follow.

His home was at 1434 W. Carlisle, Spokane.

George married on 6 Sep 1925, to HATTIE OLIVE (PRATT) OAKE (1875/6 - 16 Jan 1944) which was her second marriage. Hattie's first marriage was to George William Briggs',s first cousin, George William Oake. Like Hattie's first husband, George William Briggs was also a butcher. Last known residence is found in the 1943 Spokane, Washington, city directory. Most likely, she was cremated, like George William Briggs was.
