Dewey was dead on arrival at Dunn Memorial Hospital, his death was sudden. He was a Fabricast employee and a farmer. The son of Cyrus and Carrie Belle Speer Mills. He married Ruth Bagwell in 1935.
Survivors include his wife, two sons, Dewey Jr. and Samuel, two daughters, Rita Jane and Mrs. Harvey Morrow, three grandchildren, the mother, three brothers William, Cecil and Vernon, two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Brown and Mrs. David Watts.
A son, Robert Howard, and an infant daughter, Delores preceded him in death.
Services will be on Saturday at the Pinhook Christian Church with Brother Robert Williams officiating. Day and Carter Mortuary are in charge of the funeral.
