Richard was a 21-year retired US Army veteran and had served two tours in Vietnam with the 173rd Airborne Brigade.
Richard was 70 years old and a resident of Big Rock, Tennessee when he passed away on June 28, 2014 at his home.
Visitation was at Taylor's Chapel First Church of God, with Military Pallbearers. Burial was in Taylor Cemetery on Melton Springs Road in Big Rock.
Survivors included his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law; two daughters; a brother; sister; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
