She attended grade school in Spokane, WA, before moving to Kansas City, where she attended middle school at St. Charles in Gladstone. She graduated from Oak Park High School with numerous academic honors in 2013. She recently completed her first year of college at MSU in Springfield, MO.
Lauren traveled the world with her father and sister, visiting places like France, Great Britain and Turkey. She lived her life with energetic passion, involving herself in sports, music, dancing, drama, writing, editing and reading great works of literature. She was gentle and patient, and filled with love for her family and her many friends. Lauren was a Christian and lived out her faith to the end, working as a counselor and teacher to little children at a camp this summer.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Kristen Jean Grace and her grandfathers, Joe Grace and Ralph Sleyster.
She is survived by her father, sister, grandmothers, aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Funeral Services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Northland Cathedral Church in Kansas City, MO. Family will receive friends from 11:00am to 1:00pm, at the church, prior to the service. Interment will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.
