Pioneer Southern California dairyman and founder of one of the West's largest dairy farms, having founded Alpine Farm & Dairy Co. which became Los Angeles Creamery Co. and later the Golden State Creamery Co., which then merged with Foremost Dairies Inc. Arriving in the U.S. as a youth in Pasadena, California, he helped build the first brick building at Fair Oaks Ave. & Colorado St. With one cow he started in the dairy business and in time became one of the state's largest dairy operators and breeders of cattle. His first dairy was in the Highland Park area of Los Angeles, then ventured into Eagle Rock, at Wilshire Blvd. & Western (imagine this in 2014!!!), also in Burbank on the site of Warner Bros. Studios, and later at Fletcher Drive and San Fernando Road.
