Russell H. Sutton, 67; former Xenia Grocer
Russell H. Sutton, 67, of 366 Washington St., died at 1:45 a.m. Sunday in his home. He had been ill several years.
Owner and Operator of the Southside Market on S. Monroe St. until 1963, he was born in New Jasper Twp. On Sept. 23, 1905, the son of Harry G. and Elta Spahr Sutton. He spent most of his life in Greene County.
Survivors include his widow, L. Viola Dowler Sutton, whom he married July 6, 1933; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Betty) Wojcik of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Bean of Medina and Mrs. Robert (Judy) Palmer of Xenia; one son, James R. Sutton of Bowersville, and 10 grandchildren.
The Rev. Daniel Dennis of New Jasper United Methodist Church of which Mr. Sutton was a member, will conduct services at 1 p.m. Tuesday in McColaugh Funeral Home.
Calling hours are 7-9 this evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. Contributions may be sent to the Greene-Montgomery County TB and Respiratory Disease Association, P.O. Box 902, Dayton, 45401.
