Michael was born March 9, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Raymond and Myrtle (Martin) Clifton. He drove trucks for a living-it was the love of his life. Michael started with Black Sivalls & Bryson out of Kansas City and worked there for 8 years. Next he went to work for East Coast Express, followed by Clearfield Cheese for 13 years. He spent the last 25 years of his employment driving for Wal-Mart Transportation, retiring in 2011. Michael enjoyed watching the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and the Missouri Tigers. He loved his family very much, and spent as much time with them as he could.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one child, Baby Clifton.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon, of the home, 5 sons; William (Lorena) Clifton of Clinton, Missouri, Eddie Clifton of Gunn City, Missouri, Richard (Penny) Clifton of Clinton, Missouri, Michael (Leigh Ann) Clifton of Washburn, Missouri, and Donald Clifton of the home, sister, Michele Green of Clinton, Missouri, brother, James (Mary) Clifton of Kansas City, Missouri, aunt, Margaret Korsi of Clinton, Missouri, 10 grandkids; Ashley, Amber, Amanda, Ricky, Wyatt, Sammy, Tyler, Brittney, Haley, and Hanna, 5 great-grandkids; Austin, Abby, Drew, Kynzleigh, and Vinny, as well as numerous nieces, newphews, cousins, and many many friends.
