December 30, 1930 - January 23, 2010 PRESTON JOHN CAMPBELL age 79, passed away Saturday January 23, 2010 at his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in West Branch, Michigan on December 30, 1930, the son of Robert J. and Thelma M. (Preston) Campbell, who have preceded him in death. Preston worked at Battle Creek Packing Machine Co. as an electrician for 25 years until the company closed their doors. He was an active member of the Community of Christ Church since he was 7 years old. Preston was also a leader for the Boys Scouts of America for 25 years, and was a member of the International Associations of Machinist Local 46. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Angie,; children, Crestina (Todd) Mitchell of Ionia, MI; James Campbell of Alabama; grandchildren; Jamie (Lori) James and Kristie James of Fort Stewart, GA; two great grandchildren, Kaleigh Angela James and Preston Gunnar James. Preston was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria M. Jorden. According to his wishes private visitation and interment in Riverside Cemetery has taken place.
