Funeral service for Wayne Oneal Kirby, 67, of Danville will be Monday, June 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with ministers Steve Ledbetter and Denny Bowling officiating with burial at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Kirby, who died Friday, June 27, 2014, at his residence was born February 20, 1947, in Morgan County to the late Azel Kirby and Lillian Bates Kirby. Wayne retired from Delphi (GM) Corp. where he worked for 31 years, 30 of which he was in supervision where he made many precious friends. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and eating breakfast at Jack's with many special friends.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Shirley Shikles Kirby; son, Jonathan Wayne Kirby (Sandy); daughter, Angel Nichole Hayes (Cody); grandchildren, Alexa "Ali" Bradford, Elisha "Eli" Brannon Kirby; brothers, David Kirby (Delois), Robert Kirby (Darlene); sister, Helen Robinson (Jr); and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Hazel, Johnny Baker, Freddie Smith, Dennis Kimbrough, Glenn Terry and Keith Ligon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Scottie Engle, Perry Yant, Ronnie Smith, Joe White, Al Bush and Kenneth Proctor.
