Scott retried from Kelly Springfield after 30 years of employment. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and boating. He was also a self-taught painter. Most of all, Scott loved his granddaughters with all his heart.
He is survived by his wife Mary of Lena; two sons, Michael Lloyd of Rockford and Chad Lloyd of Stockton; two grandchildren, Jasmine ad Abigail Lloyd; parents, Carson and Darlene Lloyd of Stockton,; two brothers, Shawn (Patti) of Tigard, OR, and Shayn (Cyndi) of Tallahassee, FL; father and mother-in-law Lloyd and Violet Ferris of Lena, sister-in-law, Peggy Alt of Middleton, WI; brother-in-law, Kerry Ferris of Rockford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 30 Mar 2011, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL. A funeral service will follow visitation beginning at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 30 Mar 2011, at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena, IL. Officiating will be Pastor Diane Jochum.
Burial will take place at Lena Burial Park..
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the UW Carbone Cancer Center for GIST Research, and for a tree to be planted in his name at Highland Community College.
