FOREMAN ASMUS DEAD.
John Asmus, the foreman of Engine Company No 24 died at his home 1142 Myrtle Avenue last night from complictons of troubles aggravated by injuries he sustained at the Hirschmann bakery fire on Graham Avenue several years ago. The late Mr. Asumus was appointed a fireman eighteen years ago and assigned to Engine Company No 15.
He was aferward appointed assistant foreman of Truck No 12. He had a good record as a fireman and was acknowledged by his compaions to be brave in the discharge of his duty. The funeral will take place from the Church of St. John, Saturday and all the officers of the department off duty are invited to attend.
