Charles Ray Maynard, 67, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House.

He was a member of the graduating Class of 1965 of Brookland High School. Charles was born on September 23, 1946, in Marked Tree, Arkansas, to the late Willie and Lucille Maynard.

Charles was of the Baptist belief. He enjoyed playing Golf and loved to fish. Charles also was very committed to raising money for several different charities.

In addition to his parents Charles was preceded in death by his sons, Tim and Richard Allen Smith; 3 Brothers: Arthur Maynard, James Maynard and Floyd Maynard; A Sister, Brenda Brewer.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Judy Maynard of the home. 3 Sons: Scott (Teri) Maynard, Eric Maynard and Lyn (Cindy) Smith; One Daughter, Lori (Walt) Thrower; One Sister, Louise Turner; and 8 Grandchildren: Jordan and Skyler Maynard, Olivia Thrower, Ethan Maynard, Abby Ramirez, Natalie Smith, Beth Beeson and Bryan Smith.

Funeral services were in Emerson Memorial Chapel with burial in Pine Log Cemetery.
